This is a masterpiece among our vacation rentals. This luxury apartment is located on Via Luciano Manara in the heart of Trastevere, a short walk from two of the most famous squares of Rome, Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere and Campo de’ Fiori. It has recently been renovated and is situated on the 2nd floor of a historic building with elevator. The apartment is owned by the renowned Israeli designer Iris Bachar, who personally oversaw the renovations. Iris Bachar has been carefully researching traditional work materials and methods for twenty years, taking her to India, Japan and China. The material manufacture is of fundamental importance to her creations and renders them unique and irreplicable. Her passion for materials and manufactured articles coming from distant countries also took her to Uzbekistan, along the Silk Road. Here, where East becomes the Orient, she patiently searched for and selected a series of traditional gold, pearl and Uzbeki ruby jewellery pieces worn by the Uzbeki women in their daily life. Iris Bachar was born in Jerusalem and has lived in Italy since 1984. The apartment is comprised of a very large living room with sofas and dining area, a double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. It features air conditioning, TV, stereo system, internet connection and a washing machine. Its ethnic-style furnishing designed by Iris and complemented with important collections of textiles and valuable objects complete this elegant apartment.
