Marvellous and prestigious apartment located in Via della Vittoria a very short distance from the Spanish Steps. The apartment has been completely restored by the famous Roman architect Patrizio Romano Paris and was published in 2006 in the popular AD magazine which states: “The character of this fantastic house? Easily a Zen dwelling. Upon entering the apartment, you realize that between these walls one breathes a special atmosphere, beginning with the linearity of the book volumes, almost entirely monochrome, and ending with the rare selection of furniture. Essentiality as a way of life.” The Zen House created by Paris is a habitation of 100 square metres housed in a building from the eighteenth century. It has an open space concept where niche openings connect the lounge to the dining room and the studio. The various spaces retain the same fascinating linearity thanks to the choice of color which is almost always white, in the walls, the upholstery and the fixtures. The few pieces of furniture, inspired by oriental art, show an austerity in shape. In the same way, in the living room, a large, light-colored couch stands out against a meticulously crafted table made of silver and iron. Two marvellous tables designed by Ron Arad form the protagonists of the dining room and the studio, and in the master bedroom you find an aluminium headboard and frame designed by Paolo Riva. This doesn’t impede the presence of precious objects of antiquity in every room, all expressly Oriental: in the living room, the vase in pink laquer and silver edges, the antique Chinese votive figurines or the antique Indian horns on the walls.  In the corridor there are many outstanding of works of art: an installation by the artist Ines Fontenla and two works by Janis Kounellis. The kitchen is an exemplary summary of this apartment as a work of art: the volcanic basalt, aluminum and crystal slabs don’t leave any doubts. Even here linearity, order and formal cleanliness express a strong desire for simplicity. Completing the apartment are two extremely modern bathrooms where stainless steel and crystal are the absolute masters. It’s provided with air conditioning throughout, plasma TV in the studio and bedroom, telephone, internet connection, washing machine in a small laundry room and a dishwasher.
